Application Information

The 13th Nordic Masterclass takes place in Alsion Sønderborg from  January 30 – February 5 2027. 

The masterclass is open for applications from September 20 2026.

Conductors worldwide are invited to apply.

Repertoire 2026:
Carl Nielsen, A Fantasy Journey to the Faraoe Islands
Brahms, Haydn Variations
Schumann, Piano Concerto
Brahms, Symfoni nr. 3

Active participants will be selected by Jorma Panula and Maria Badstue on the basis of a video recording, a YouTube link or similar of maximum 20 minutes length. To apply please submit:

  • CV and short bio
  • Video link (max. 20 min. length)
  • Contact information (name, address, phone number, email address)

All selected active participants will be informed by e-mail on December 1 2026.

Participation fee:
Participation fee is a total of 2100 EUR.

Upon admittance to the masterclass, a non-refundable deposit of 500 EUR must be paid on december 15, 2026, in order to secure your place on the course.

Remaining 1600 EUR are to be paid at the latest January 5, 2027.

Passive participation:
It is possible to join as a passive participant.
